Painting live at weddings for over a decade has enriched Ramons devotion to painting the human figure, and he revels in the vivacious challenge of capturing your evening on canvas and then mastering it in his studio to equate Victorian masterpieces.
It all began during a youthful trip to the Louvre: In plain youth, facing the voluptuous works of Bronzino and Jean Francois Picout, his devotion to painting was signed and sealed. Ramon dedicated the next decade of his life apprenticing the infamous Mexican painter Aceves Navarro, where he studied the human form, portraiture and process of painting incessantly alongside him.
The canvases are hand-stretched and the paints are of the finest quality oils, often hand-made from exotic pigments. Ramon has travelled all over Mexico and the U.S. to create over thirty live wedding paintings. When not rendering these celebrations of love into masterpieces, he is creating large-scale abstract works, Nude portraits or mixing disco-electro vinyls in his studio.
